About Me
Susan Rowley was born in Stafford. Her father was a Highland Scot and her mother was from Derbyshire. Aged 6, Susan moved to Edinburgh where she lived for the next thirty years graduating from the University of Edinburgh and Moray House College of Education. She taught in the Borders for a year before joining the Inland Revenue.
She married a university lecturer and had two children before heading for pastures new, living in Norway, Windsor, Andover, Colwyn Bay and finally North Yorkshire. Over the years Susan has had a number of jobs such as barmaiding, quality control for a jewellery company, office management and dental reception. She returned to teaching in the area of special needs both within the secondary school system then working with pupils who were outside that system for whatever reason.
She is now retired and enjoys her family, including her 3 corgis each with their own special character.
